Climate eggs

We sell delicious fresh ‘climate eggs’ from our own pasture raised chickens.

Our chickens graze freely on the land and spend the night in our specially designed chicken mobiles. They are moved across the fields so that they always eat fresh grass and insects. They activate soil life and stimulate plant and root growth with their timed disturbance. In this way, they ensure more carbon storage in the soil and lay ‘climate eggs’.

Our chickens receive a lot of care and eat well and varied. They are almost always outside (only not fully when there are bird flu restrictions) and, in addition to what they catch themselves, they receive specially tailored feed recycled from food waste streams.

We give our chickens a lot of individual care. The chickens are also allowed to grow old with us. As a result, they lay fewer eggs than ‘regular’ laying hens that are slaughtered after 1.5 years. The result is a slightly more expensive egg, but also a much more animal-friendly and tastier egg!

Our eggs can be purchased separately in our farm shop or can be ordered weekly via a vegetable subscription.
