climate eggs

*Our eggs are tested and are well below the PFAS norm, so they are safe to eat!*

We sell delicious fresh ‘climate eggs’ from our own pasture raised chickens.

Our chickens roam freely across the land and spend the night in specially designed mobile coops. These are regularly moved across the fields, allowing the chickens to feed on fresh grass and insects. Through their natural, timed disturbance, they activate soil life and stimulate plant and root growth. In this way, they contribute to increased carbon storage in the soil and produce what we call “climate eggs.”

Our chickens receive a high level of care and enjoy a varied, nutritious diet. They are outdoors almost all the time (except during bird flu restrictions) and, in addition to what they forage themselves, they are fed specially tailored feed made from recycled food waste streams.

We give each chicken individual attention and allow them to grow old with us. As a result, they lay fewer eggs than conventional laying hens, which are typically slaughtered after 1.5 years. This means our eggs are slightly more expensive, but also far more animal-friendly—and tastier.

Our eggs can be purchased separately in our farm shop or can be ordered weekly via a vegetable subscription.
